As a delegate for Pender County School Board. I will always advocate for your child’s success! Additionally, I will continue to put safety 1st above anything else. Your child’s success could be a reflection of what Pender County looks like in the future.
Lastly, we have one upcoming final meeting that I will be in attendance for. My resignation will be coming shortly afterwards. Thank you to all the parents, teachers, and staff for your continued support.

We may not have always agreed on everything. But it didn’t stop any of us from continuing to work to make Pender County Schools better. To my constituents thank you for trusting me! Thank you for allowing me to be your voice. Lastly, thank you for electing me to become one of your next County Commissioners. I enjoyed my time with Pender County School Board. I pray that I can fill the shoes Commissioner McCoy successfully.

I was so honored for Michele Morrow to ask me to speak on her behalf today. Michele had other commitments that prevented her from speaking. But, I arrived at Bogue Sound Distillery and never would have anticipated running into my sixth grade teacher before I even made it inside! Now, I haven’t seen or spoken with her in twenty plus years and it was so exciting to reconnect. The crowd was lively, I was enthralled after all that had happened. Great event, great people, & Mrs. Morrow will represent us all well. Get out and vote!

So excited to finally see this partnership and agreement get executed. This is going to be great for students that want to become a teacher.

It’s a problem we seem to hear about every year, not enough teachers in classrooms.

It’s been a busy couple of days, but the important thing to know is I’ll always be a parent before a board member. Linley graduated kindergarten this morning. Another nerve wracking moment! Without going into a lot of detail, we were able to bring her home at 9 months old and she has been such a blessing. I’ve never had the pleasure of having a little girl to raise. But here I am, doing the best a dad can do by her. I am proud of you Linley this was at least your second accomplishment of the day (making your bed in the mornings is the first) and one of your biggest accomplishments as parents we’ll always remember.

To the new graduates of CFCC and early graduates of PCS. I personally want to tell each and every one of you Congratulations! You did it! Rising above those tireless nights, overcoming the adversity that each of you did. You finally accomplished your degrees. Go out and celebrate, it is your day!

Today was an exciting day for Pender High School CTE. 60 plus students competed in various trades. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the opening ceremony and some of the competition. Two magnificent students were recognized with plaques. While in attendance I was told by one of the students 5 of them had made it to the final round in the Quiz Bowl. These students are a testament to the multiple teachers putting in those extra long hours, ensuring they were ready for a statewide competition, more importantly these staff members took pride in making sure they were not only prepared for competition at the state level but also the nationals. The results will be disclosed tomorrow. Parents if you see your student know that they did their absolute best.

It was great to be apart of the opening ceremony at the Special Olympics. Something bigger than I, these special children showed grit, determination, had heart, and competed with courage. I enjoyed seeing all the supporters and volunteers from all of the different schools. The children were excited to compete. I and others enjoyed watching them

A couple of weeks back we attended our daughter's first school dance at C. F. Pope Elementary School. It was great to see and talk with parents, supporters, one of the greatest principals who works so hard, and of course one of my favorite SRO's of Burgaw. I absolutely love it when I see staff take time out of their personal lives to interact with the students at functions like the dance.
