A New K-Kids School Year Is Beginning!

The Burbank Kiwanis K-Kids are ready for an exciting year of leadership, friendship and service at Edison Elementary beginning September 16.

Sponsored by Burbank Kiwanis and hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and the Greater East Valley, K-Kids members will learn how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. They will identify needs, share ideas, work as a team and discover that they are never too young to serve their community and become little leaders.

We look forward to watching these young leaders grow in confidence, compassion and responsibility throughout the school year.

Follow along as our K-Kids turn good ideas into meaningful action!

Serve locally. Connect globally. Make a lasting difference.

Austria issued this five-schilling stamp in 1983 to commemorate the Kiwanis International World and European Congress in Vienna. Featuring the Kiwanis emblem above the Vienna skyline, it remains a powerful reminder that Kiwanis service reaches far beyond any single community.

When someone joins the Kiwanis Club of Burbank, the work begins locally—helping children, supporting schools, building nonprofit partnerships and strengthening the community.

Membership also opens the door to an international network of volunteers united by a shared purpose: serving the children of the world.

Happy Labor Day!

Today, we celebrate and thank the people whose hard work, dedication, and service help build stronger communities every day.

From those who care for others and build our neighborhoods to those who volunteer their time and talents, every contribution makes a difference.

At Kiwanis, we know that when people come together with a heart for service, we build something even greater—a better world for children and families.

To all who work, serve, lead, care, and give back: thank you. Today and every day.

Kids need us. Communities need us. Together, we make a difference.

🇺🇸 HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED 🇺🇸

The Kiwanis Club of Burbank invites you to a special patriotic meeting honoring the men and women of our club who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Our veterans answered the call to serve their country. Today, they continue that commitment by serving the children and families of Burbank.

During this meaningful program, several Kiwanis members will share personal stories from their military careers—including the experiences, friendships and leadership lessons that shaped their lives. We will also recognize the sacrifices made by their families and by generations of Americans who have worn our nation’s uniform.

Their branches and assignments may have been different, but they share a common belief: service does not end when the uniform comes off.

Whether you are a veteran, an active-duty service member, a military family member or someone who simply wants to thank those who served, we hope you will join us.

What should Burbank’s go-to service club look like?

We believe it should bring together emerging professionals with fresh ideas and retirees with decades of experience—all united by a desire to help children and strengthen our community.

At the Kiwanis Club of Burbank, relationships lead to action. Through partnerships with the Boys & Girls Club and Kiwanis Student Leadership Programs such as Key Club and K-Kids, members help young people learn, lead, and serve.

We’re building the next chapter of Kiwanis in Burbank—and there is room in it for you.

What experience, talent, or idea would you like to contribute to our community?

Every child is one caring adult away from becoming a success story.

Sometimes, that adult is a teacher. Sometimes, it’s a coach, a mentor, a neighbor—or a Kiwanis volunteer who simply shows up and says, “I believe in you.”

For more than a century, Burbank Kiwanis members have been those caring adults. Through youth leadership programs, community partnerships, and hands-on service, we help children discover their potential and realize their community is behind them.

You don’t need special credentials. You don’t need unlimited free time. You just need a willingness to make a difference.

One conversation. One encouraging word. One afternoon of service.

Sometimes, that’s all it takes to change a child’s story.

Be that adult. Join Burbank Kiwanis.
