Position Summary
Method Campaign Services is looking for a 'Community Organizer' responsible for a range of campaign objectives to build and strengthen our organizing infrastructure and engage local activists to be a powerful force in their communities around local environmental issues.
Areas of Responsibility
-Provide for the recruitment, training, leadership development, and coordination of political activists;
-Develop progress reports and analysis on political capacity using various reporting functions;
-Work with activists to integrate political capacity building into the day-to-day work of grassroots organizations;
-Plan and manage multiple efforts simultaneously in a dynamic environment requiring adjustment to developing priorities and strategies;
-Use digital tools to advance on the ground organizing;
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
-Superior verbal and written communication skills;
-Ability to develop and implement a field plan;
Proven presentation and training skills;
-Ability to analyze complex interpersonal and inter-organizational relationships;
-Ability to travel and willing to work long hours and weekends, only when needed;
-Maintain an operational vehicle and driver's license;
-Demonstrate an ability to contribute to creating a positive work environment that encourages personal responsibility, initiative and innovation;
-Strong sense of professionalism and integrity;
-Ability to work with a diverse group fo people, from local activists, professional organizers, elected officials, and other stakeholders;
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office and G Suite programs;
-Basic knowledge of PDI Online Campaign Tools and other political databases helpful, not required.
