Today, the Flagler County Tax Collector’s Office was honored to present a check for $1,045.37 to support the 9/11 Annual Memorial Tribute Stair Climb.

This donation was made possible through the generosity of our customers and staff, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed. Staff members who were unable to attend today also showed their support by dressing in red, white, and blue in honor of the lives lost and the heroes of September 11th. ❤️🤍💙

Held at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa, this meaningful event brings our community together to remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

Participants climb 110 flights of stairs, representing the 110 floors of the World Trade Center, while carrying tokens bearing the faces of fallen heroes. Upon completion, the tokens are placed on an American flag in remembrance of their sacrifice.

We are proud to support this special event and help ensure the heroes of September 11th are never forgotten.
