The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to stay vigilant following reported threats targeting churches and synagogues around Easter. Although there is no credible information regarding an attack in Jasper County, please keep your awareness high.

If you see anything suspicious, report it immediately to (409) 384-5417 or call 911 in an emergency.

⚠️⚠️REMINDER OF PLANNED POWER OUTAGE ⚠️⚠️

Tonight starting at 10 pm all City of Jasper customers will be without power for approximately 5 hours.

Entergy will de-energize the 138,000 volt transmission line that supplies the Jason Substation to perform work on some Metering System Components.

Power must be turned off for the safety of crew members performing the work around the high voltage lines.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding while this much needed work is underway.

Water and sewer services will remain operational throughout this outage.

Jasper Police Department will have added patrol during the outage also.

Please do not report a city power outage to our call center during this time 10 pm - 2 am.
