We have been made aware of the smoke in the area across the lake from Bull Shoals around strawberry creek, the corp of engineers has a prescribed burn (controlled fire). We have received several calls on this and have checked with Marion County Dispatch to confirm.

Last night was our fire departments Christmas party, good food, games and family! During which we had our annual awards for 2025:

Rookie of the year - Justin Housely (not pictured, yet)

First responder of the year - Choppy Halog

Firefighter of the year - Austin Senko

Eddie White - 10yrs service with Bull Shoals

We want to thank all of our members and their family’s for everything they do for our department and community.

As potentially dangerous heat arrives this weekend, remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of fluids
🏡 Stay inside during the midday heat
👀 Watch for heat cramps, heat exhaustion, & heat stroke
🚫 Never leave kids or pets in a car
👓 Help keep an eye on vulnerable populations

Tomorrow the Fire Dept will be standing in the road from 9am to 1pm, taking donations in order to keep the boat stored in the water at the Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock.
We do have an account set up through the Fire Department Auxiliary at First Security Bank in Bull Shoals.
