🚧 Burley Ave Road Closure Project Update – All Phases 🚧

We want to give a big thank you to everyone for your patience during the Burley Ave road closure project. We know detours are inconvenient, delays are annoying, and having your normal route suddenly vanish can feel a little personal. But this is a much-needed project for our city, and we truly appreciate everyone working with us while the improvements are completed.

Here is a full breakdown of the closure phases:

πŸ“ Phase 2:
April 7–8, 2026
Road closed to traffic in both directions
No thru traffic
Local access only
Emergency access maintained

πŸ“ Phase 3:
April 9, 2026
A smaller section of Burley Ave closed
No thru traffic
Local access only
Emergency access maintained

πŸ“ Phase 4:
April 10, 2026
The entire Burley Ave closed for one day
No thru traffic
Local access only
Emergency access maintained

Please continue to plan alternate routes and expect minor delays during each phase.

We know this project has asked everyone to be a little flexible, a little patient, and maybe a little less emotionally attached to Burley Ave than usual. The road has been going through a lot lately.

At this point, Burley Ave has had more phases than some movie franchises, but unlike a movie sequel, this one is actually necessary and will benefit the city in the long run.

We also want to give a special thank you to the flagging crew and ITD for their hard work throughout this project. They have spent long hours out there helping keep traffic moving as safely and smoothly as possible, and we appreciate the work they are doing to help improve this area for the community.

Thank you to everyone for slowing down, planning ahead, and resisting the urge to look at a Road Closed sign and think, β€œThat sounds like a suggestion.” We assure you, it is not. The barricades remain undefeated.

We truly appreciate the community’s patience, cooperation, and understanding while this much-needed work is completed. Buhl will be better for it, even if Burley Ave is being a little dramatic in the meantime.
