💙 Strong Fathers. Strong Families. Strong Communities. 💙

At the Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network (BPPN), we know that fathers play an important role in building healthy, thriving families.

Through the Buffalo Fatherhood Initiative, fathers and families across Buffalo and Western New York can access programs and activities designed to strengthen relationships, build confidence, and support family well-being.

From parenting and relationship support to mental health, financial literacy, healthy cooking, family adventures, fishing trips, bowling days, and community events, there are opportunities for fathers to connect, learn, grow, and make a lasting difference in the lives of their children. 👨‍👧‍👦💙

When fathers are supported and engaged, families are stronger—and communities thrive.

BPPN is grateful to the Many Faces of Mercy Giving Circle for their generous $1,500 grant award supporting our Car Seat Program!

This important funding will help BPPN provide car seats to BPPN families who need them, helping ensure babies and young children can travel safely, while giving parents greater peace of mind.

Every family deserves the resources and support they need to give their children the strongest possible start. Through partnerships like this, we can continue removing barriers, promoting child safety, and strengthening families throughout our community. 👣

Thank you, Many Faces of Mercy Giving Circle, for investing in the health, safety, and well-being of BPPN families! 💜

🍂 Fall is here, but tick and mosquito season isn’t over yet! 🦟🕷️

Warm, rainy weather can keep mosquitoes active, while ticks remain active into the fall. A few simple steps can help protect you, your family, and your pets:

🦟 Use insect repellent with DEET or picaridin.
👕 Wear long sleeves and pants when outdoors.
🌿 Avoid tall grass, brush and wooded areas when possible.
💧 Remove standing water around your home.
🔎 Check yourself, your kids and your pets for ticks after being outside.
🚿 Shower soon after coming indoors to help find and remove ticks.
Ticks can spread Lyme disease and other illnesses, while mosquitoes can carry West Nile virus.

🍁 Enjoy the fall — just remember to bug-proof your outdoor time!
