On Tuesday September 15th we honor the vision of Rev. Joseph M.Sorg who died on that date in 1888. He was born in Lancaster, N.Y. and brought by his parents to The Lamb of God Church to be baptized. He is credited with wisdom, kindness and patience. Fr. Sorg was celebrating Vespers on the night of March 25th 1885 when he saw the flickering of flames through the windows. He calmly escorted the large number of worshippers to safety.
He is the Visionary who planned the present St. Louis Church yet never saw it completed. Death called him home to God a year before it was finished.
May God grant him eternal rest and may he bless and our efforts to ensure Fr. Sorg's vision is not lost!
