Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Erie County CYSHCN Program "Night at the Museum" Family Resource Fair. We welcome families with children and youth (birth-21) who have special health care needs, with or without a diagnosis, who could benefit from coordination and support for services. This community-centered, sensory-friendly event connects families with essential services, local programs, and valuable resources and information.

Buffalo Museum of Science
1020 Humboldt Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14211

Enjoy FREE admission to the museum, community resources, food/dinner, and activities for the whole family. Parents and caregivers can also get trained in Narcan use and hands-only CPR.

The Erie County Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs (CYSHCN) Program seeks to improve the coordination of care for children and youth who have special health care needs. I was proud to co-host a Union Job Fair and Back-to-School Giveaway with the Buffalo Central Labor Council AFL-CIO, connecting members of our community with good-paying union career opportunities while helping make sure our young people are ready for the school year.

This dedication is more than a sign.It is a lasting reminder of a man whose life, character, and contributions made a difference in the community. Honoring James McDaniels Jr. allows us to recognize his legacy and ensure that his name and the impact he made continue to be remembered by generations to come.

Busy weekend in District 1!

I was proud to once again partner with Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski for our Annual Book Bag Giveaway, helping make sure our young people are ready to head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed. 📚🎒

I also had the opportunity to join the community for the 30th Annual Putting the Neighbor Back in the Hood celebration. It is a great reminder of the strength, pride, and resilience that exists in our neighborhoods.
