A heartfelt thank you to our staff who came out, represented CAO with pride, and helped celebrate community, culture, freedom, and resilience. Your energy and presence helped make the day special.

As Juneteenth approaches this Friday, June 19, we honor the history of emancipation, reflect on the ongoing pursuit of justice and equity, and celebrate the strength, joy, and contributions of Black communities here in Buffalo and across the country.

CAO of WNY extends our heartfelt thanks to Belmont Housing Resources for selecting our pantry to receive food collected in remembrance of May 14th.

May 14, 2022, is a day that remains etched in the hearts of Buffalo residents. The racially motivated mass shooting at Tops on Jefferson Avenue claimed the lives of 10 beloved community members, injured others, and forever changed our city.

As we continue to honor the victims, support their families, and uplift the East Side community, acts of service and generosity help carry forward the spirit of compassion, resilience, and unity that emerged in the aftermath of tragedy.

Earlier this week, Belmont Housing Resources delivered a generous donation of food and pantry items to help support local individuals and families. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and for choosing to honor the memory of those we lost through meaningful action that benefits our community.

Thank you, Belmont Housing Resources, for helping ensure that remembrance is accompanied by care, compassion, and continued support for our neighbors.
