🦷 FREE Dental Care Opportunity! 🦷

GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo is happy to share this opportunity with our families and community! Claire, a dental hygiene student at Erie Community College, is seeking patients ages 5 and older, including individuals with disabilities, to receive FREE preventative dental care.

Appointments will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays beginning in October at the Erie Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic on the North Campus in Williamsville.

All treatment is provided by student dental hygienists under the supervision of licensed dentists and registered dental hygienists. No insurance is required!
Please note that appointments are approximately two hours long because they are more thorough than a typical dental visit. Some patients may need a second appointment to complete all services.

The talent was shining bright at GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo! 🌟

Last week, our participants took the stage for our GiGi’s Talent Show, and it was an evening full of music, dancing, laughter, creativity, and confidence.

Talents included… a Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber impersonator, to comedy, dance routines, a sign language and singing duet to “Tomorrow” from Annie, lots of singing, and so much more!! Every single performer brought their own personality and star power to the stage! 🎉

We are so proud of everyone who performed and shared their talents with us. Moments like these remind us how powerful it is when our friends are given the space to express themselves, be celebrated, and shine.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our performers! 💙

Strong bodies, strong minds, and plenty of smiles! 💪💙

Our adults had another great GiGiFIT class this week! Participants worked hard while building confidence and having fun along the way.

GiGiFIT focuses on improving strength, joint stability, balance, movement control, endurance and overall wellness, helping participants build healthy habits and push through barriers at every stage of life.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteer Jeff, who always shows up and shows out for GiGiFIT! 👏 We’re so grateful for the energy, encouragement and dedication he brings as our class leader and instructor each week.

What an AMAZING day we had at Sahlens Ball Park! The 2nd annual Family gathering Bisons Game was a blast! The suite was warm and cozy and sitting out in the stands was so much fun! We enjoyed a delicious buffet, yummy desserts, and a heart warming afternoon with the Down syndrome community. Buster even came to hang out too! A big huge thank you goes out to ‘The Little Smiles of WNY’ foundation. You made us all feel so special! 🧢⚾️ Thank you so much.

GiGi’s Playhouse is a Down Syndrome Achievement Center that provides free educational, therapeutic, and social programs for individuals with Down syndrome of all ages. Our mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome by sending a global message of acceptance for all. 💛🙏💙

Today’s recipe at GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo: homemade falafel! 🧑‍🍳🥙

Our participants got busy in the kitchen today, working together to make some delicious falafel from scratch! Everyone had a special role and followed the recipe step-by-step- from measuring and mixing ingredients to mashing, seasoning, and shaping.

The final verdict? Our falafel turned out AMAZING! 👏🥙 Great job to all of our chefs!

Last week, our Executive Director, Emily Mondschein, had the chance to attend the Guitar & Memorabilia Auction benefiting 'Music is Art' at the Variety Club! 🎸

The evening was hosted by Don Raiser, a true legend in the WNY fundraising community, and a familiar face to our GiGi’s Buffalo family after helping make our Summer at the Shores event so special! Emily was joined by our event planner, Emily Marciniak, and even got to spend some time with Buffalo’s own Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls!

We’re always grateful for opportunities to connect with the incredible people and organizations that make Western New York such a generous and supportive community. A wonderful night supporting 'Music is Art' and celebrating the power of music, community, and giving back! 🎶

We’re back with Mackenzie! In today’s video she shares how her love for wrestling first began after seeing the Bella Twins on America’s Got Talent. That moment sparked her curiosity, and after doing some research of her own, she quickly became a huge wrestling fan! 🥊⚡️

And the timing couldn’t be better… Mackenzie is heading to Monday Night RAW tomorrow, August 17th! 🤩

We absolutely love getting to know the friends we have here at GiGi’s and enjoy putting a spotlight on each one. 💙💛 stay tuned for more videos highlighting some of the other amazing people here at GiGi’s Playhouse.
