It's a family connection that reaches far beyond the dinner table.

This Father’s Day, we are proud to recognize Michael and Jonathan Caimano. They are a father-son duo whose commitment to serving others has brought them even closer together.

Jonathan, a Paramedic, has been with AMR for 10 years, while his dad, Michael, has proudly served for nine. Their journey at AMR Western New York began in 2016, when Michael was working at Roswell Park. He knew a career at AMR would be meaningful and rewarding. A year later, Michael joined the team and a new chapter began for their family.

While they have never officially worked side-by-side, they often pass one another in hospital hallways and share similar sentiment.

“I feel like we have a second family that we both share,” Jonathan said. “I love seeing my dad in action. I am very proud of him.”

The two talk nearly every day, leaning on one another after difficult calls, celebrating the good ones and understanding the parts of the job that only another paramedic truly can. For Michael and Jonathan, being able to talk each other through the highs and lows has been a gift.

“I have always been close to my dad, but this has definitely brought us closer,” Jonathan shared. “I am pretty lucky to have him to share our work experiences with.”

Outside of AMR, their bond continues through gardening, fishing trips to Florida, and now an especially special role for Michael - being a proud grandpa to Jonathan’s baby girl!

Thank you, Michael and Jonathan, for the care you bring to communities across Western New York and for showing us the incredible power of family, service and a shared purpose. 🚑❤️

Congratulations to Councilwoman Zeneta B. Everhart of our Masten District for a festive celebration at MLK Park yesterday - bringing the community together to honor, sing, dance and celebrate.

Sure, we work together. But somewhere between the long shifts, shared meals, endless laughs, early mornings, late nights and answering calls side by side, we became family. 🚑🚨

At AMR Western New York, we're a team that shows up for each other - both on and off the clock. We share a bond that's built through service to our community.

The uniforms may bring us together, but it's the people that make this place special.

What an incredible day of learning, community and teamwork! ❤️💙

We were proud to partner with the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Public Schools to teach hands-only CPR to many families, empowering them with lifesaving skills they can carry with them for years to come.

We are honored to help create a community that is more prepared and ready to respond when every second counts. And, of course, a special shout out to the Buffalo Bills players and staff for helping make learning CPR fun and memorable!

Serving our community goes beyond emergency medical care.

We were proud to participate in the 5th Annual Diaper and Hygiene Drive with our friends at Hope Rises in support of Home Beneath Our Feet Inc. and Every Bottom Covered, Inc. We helped to collect much-needed diapers, baby supplies and hygiene products for families in our city and beyond.

Everyone deserves access to essential items and it was an honor to join so many incredible organizations, businesses and community members in making a difference. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support this community-wide effort!
