It is a not for profit, war veterans designated 501(c)(19) organization that provides support to their shipmates, their families and the local community.

We area a 501(C) not for profit organization of United States Coast Guard (USCG) Chiefs providing support to their shipmates, their families and the local community. The United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association is unique among service organizations in that it was created by the Chiefs, of the Chiefs, and for the Chiefs of the United States Coast Guard.

Your generosity and support helped make the day even more fun for our golfers and more importantly, helped us raise funds to support our junior members experiencing financial hardship. ❤️

We were so grateful to have golfers come from all over to join us for our CPOA Golf Tournament! Having a full course filled with incredible people made the day one to remember.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, a more beautiful course, or a better group of people to spend the day with. From the first tee to the last putt, there were plenty of laughs, good times, and memories made!

Thank you to every golfer who traveled near and far to support our tournament and our CPOA family. We truly appreciate you!

WHAT A DAY! 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Our CPOA Golf Tournament was an absolute BLAST! Beautiful weather, great people, lots of laughs, and plenty of good times, all while raising money to support our junior members who are experiencing emergency financial hardships.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better group of people to spend it with. THANK YOU to everyone who played, sponsored, donated, volunteered, and supported us. Your generosity makes a real difference!

’Twas the night before our golf tournament, and all round the green, not a golfer was swinging - the fairways were serene.

The clubs were all polished, the golf balls were bright, as we dreamed of long drives and putts rolling just right.

With birdies in mind and our spirits held high, we’ll tee off tomorrow beneath the blue sky!

Mr. Cody Bockhorn participated once again in the Armed Forces Wing Eating Contest at the National Buffalo Wing Festival today, thanks to our friends at WNYHeroes.org!

If you remember last year, Cody took home 2nd place! So, of course, we had to see what he could do this year!

Thanks, Cody, for representing us and always making us proud!

And while Cody was busy crushing wings, we can’t forget to check out his beautiful wife, BMC Brigitta Bockhorn, Officer in Charge of Station Niagara, and that ADORABLE baby bump!

Congratulations to you both! We’re so excited for your growing family! ❤️⚓️

The CPOA/CGEA Convention was an awesome experience. We had the honor of meeting so many amazing members of this association, networking, sharing ideas, and learning from Chiefs and leaders from all across the country.

And …. WE WON CHAPTER OF THE YEAR!!!

After 57 years, this is the FIRST TIME EVER our Chapter has received this honor!

We couldn’t be more proud of our incredible team and all the hard work, dedication, and countless hours that went into making this happen.

We left Houston proud, grateful, inspired, and ready to keep doing what we do best… supporting our Coast Guard family and our community!!

🏆 WE DID IT! 🏆

Tonight in Houston, Texas, at the 2026 CPOA Convention, CPOA Eastern Great Lakes Chapter was honored with the United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association 2026 President’s Outstanding Chapter Award!

This award is a HUGE accomplishment for our team of active duty, retired, and reserve E-7 through E-9 members who have poured countless hours, passion, and dedication into making our chapter the best it can be. We couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished together this year!

But this award belongs to more than just our chapter….

We could not have done it without the incredible support of our friends, families, community partners, sponsors, and everyone who has shown up for us along the way. Your support makes everything we do possible, and we are beyond grateful.

We are incredibly proud to stand alongside all of the amazing chapters within this association. Every chapter brings something special to the table, and we can’t wait to see where we all go from here!

From incredible leadership and fellowship to big conversations, new ideas, and memories we won’t soon forget, this convention has been one for the books!

Today at the CPOA Convention, attendees took some time away from the convention floor to give back to the Houston community! Our group, along with a couple of other groups, volunteered at the Houston Food Bank and put in some serious work.

Together, we sorted 21 pallets of food, which translates to just over 10,000 meals for families in need! 🥫🍎

It was an incredible reminder that being a Chief isn’t just about leadership - it’s about service, community, and taking care of others.
