If you walk through our building, you'll find trees that have grown full of handprints over the years!

Miss Hannah, our Children's Coordinator, helped some of our families paint their own family trees the other week. They filled their trees with handprints and written notes about what they were thankful for ❤🌳

WOW!! Last Friday, we shared an urgent request for a mom in our Temporary Housing Program who is welcoming her baby sooner than expected, along with an Amazon Wishlist of essential items.

By Monday morning, the Amazon truck arrived at our building filled with an abundance of packages: clothing, socks, bottles, a car seat, and so much more. The packages pictured below are just a small glimpse of everything that was received.

Huge thank you to everyone who saw the post and responded so quickly. All of us at Family Promise of WNY are continually moved by the way our neighbors show up in moments of urgent need.

Thank you for showing this mom so much love as she prepares for a new beginning. It means so much for families to know that they are not alone, and are surrounded a community that is ready to show up for them when it's most needed. It truly takes a village! ❤️

Every child deserves a safe home.

Today, one of our kids gave us a tour of his new home. He walked us through the whole house as he excitedly described what each room was for. "This is my room and where I am going to sleep. And this is where my clothes go. And this is where my mom cooks us dinner. And this is my sister's bed. And...". Every step was filled with joy!

"Because of their kindness, I feel stronger, more motivated, and more confident as a mother." These are the words a mom of 4 left us with as she gathered her keys to her new home.

The experience of homelessness is an extremely difficult one to navigate, and will leave you feeling UNheard, UNhelped, and UNseen. Our team at Family Promise of WNY works every day to do the opposite. And messages like this one help us feel incredibly proud of the families we work with and the team we have.
