City of Buffalo, Division of Citizens Services "The common thread that binds us is our desire to serve"

The Division of Citizen Services was created within the Executive Department to establish and maintain a centralized computer based system and procedures for receiving, processing and responding to inquiries, service requests, complaints and suggestions from citizens in a timely, accurate and professional manner. This Division has developed a centralized response center for citizen complaints, req

uests for services, and making referrals to appropriate departments, agencies and other service providers. Since its inception, the Division has acquired several ancillary programs aimed at working with residents, block clubs and organizations to better service the community.

Buffalo is celebrating National 311 Day today, and our Buffalo 311 Resolution Center, aka BUFF311, is at the heart of it with in Division of Citizen Services.

🎉📞Today, we pause to say a huge THANK YOU to the incredible contact center agents and staff who answer and handle the daily calls, clicks, and walk-ins from residents across our city. 🙌 Your dedication to problem-solving and listening makes a real difference, one service request at a time. 311 is Buffalo’s front door to city services, connecting neighbors to information, non-emergency police services, and help with everything from potholes and streetlights to sanitation and quality of life concerns. 🏙️ When we catalog these concerns, we create data that helps the City respond, deploy resources smarter, and improve neighborhoods for everyone.

Our Buffalo 311 team models true public service, day in and day out: patient, professional, and committed to excellent customer service, which remains paramount in every interaction. 💼❤️ To our partners across City departments, thank you for your ongoing collaboration and support in closing out service requests and delivering results for residents.

Most importantly, THANK YOU to the people and residents of the City of Buffalo who continue to show their confidence in this service by calling, clicking, and walking in to share what you see in your neighborhoods. 🙏 Your voice guides our work and strengthens our great city. Happy National 311 Day, Buffalo, and to all of the outstanding 311 centers across the nation and beyond! 💙💛
