Yesterday, the HOME team volunteered LPF for a United Way Buffalo & Erie Co Day of Caring, spending the day gardening, painting, and giving back to our community.

This free community event will offer diabetes, HIV, and blood pressure screenings, opportunities to connect with healthcare providers, and access to valuable community resources.

Attendees can also receive fresh fruits and vegetables, wellness items, diapers, bus passes, undergarments, essential supplies, and have the chance to participate in raffles.

This past Sunday, the HOME team joined thousands at the Buffalo Pride Parade to honor authenticity, inclusion, and the power of belonging. Our team had an incredible time marching alongside neighbors, partners, friends, and advocates.🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This Pride Month and every month, HOME recognizes that housing justice is LGBTQ+ justice. 🏡

LGBTQ+ individuals — especially LGBTQ+ youth and transgender community members — continue to experience housing instability and homelessness at disproportionately high rates.

In New York State, sexual orientation and gender identity are protected under fair housing law, but barriers to safe and affirming housing still exist.

Everyone deserves equal access to housing free from discrimination, harassment, and exclusion.
