Earlier today, I had the honor of attending the Tonawanda Fire Department Chaplain Group’s annual 9/11 ceremony.

This event is always a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the lives lost on the 25th anniversary and to remember the brave heroes who answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice. It also serves as an important reminder of the courage and selflessness displayed by first responders and communities in the face of horrific tragedy.

Earlier today, I was honored to join Senator Jeremy Zellner and City of Tonawanda Mayor Bill Strassburg to announce a $500,000 investment to build a new overlook of the Niagara River at Niawanda Park.

The waterfront is one of the City of Tonawanda’s greatest assets, and I believe continued investment in our waterfront is crucial to helping the city thrive. This project will provide residents and visitors another opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Niagara River.
