The Opening Day of Buffalo Public Library's baseball-themed Summer Reading Program is this Saturday, June 6, from noon till 2 pm at the Library, 1025 N. Hill St.

Children from kindergarten through sixth grade can join the Library's annual Summer Reading Program while enjoying free hot dogs, popcorn, and lemonade. A police car and fire truck will be in the library parking lot for the children to view.

This year, children who read 10 books within their reading level can earn a free Happy Meal from McDonald's! Other prizes from Dairy Queen and Sonic will also be awarded.

Doing some Spring cleaning? Consider donating your unwanted books to the library. We like any published in 2000 or later, in good condition, no textbooks or encyclopedias, please. Come across some library books you may have forgotten to return? No worries - we will never charge you a late fee!

The Buffalo Library will be closed Saturday, January 24 due to anticipated inclement weather. We will re-open when the roads are safe to travel. We WILL be open Thursday and Friday, January 22 and 23, so come in and check out some books, puzzles, and games before hunkering down at home during the cold weather! Thursday hours are noon to 4 pm; Friday hours are 9 am to 1 pm. Stay warm and be safe!
