Join us as we celebrate the launch of the Texas Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Trail, a new statewide tourism experience honoring the courage, service, and lasting impact of African American soldiers who served along the Texas frontier in the 19th century.

Right now, tons of monarchs, hummingbirds, and songbirds are flying over our region on their way to Mexico. They navigate by the stars, and porch lights left on can throw them off course. One easy fix: kill the outdoor lights between 11pm and 6am through November.

Bonus points if you've got frostweed or goldenrod in the yard already!

Buffalo Gap, set your alarms. ⏰ Mike Rouse takes off from Perini Ranch at 6 AM tomorrow morning, running all the way to Dallas to honor the U.S. soldiers killed in Afghanistan on August 6th.

Come cheer him out of town! Meet us at Perini Ranch right before 6 AM to send him off right before he hits the road.

Buffalo Gap, get ready to send someone off right! Mike Rouse is lacing up to run all the way from Perini Ranch to Easy Slider in Dallas, honoring the U.S. soldiers killed in Afghanistan on August 6th. That’s not a jog, that’s a journey, and he’s starting it here, from the restaurant he loves.
