Today was such a special day at Milanesi Elementary!

We were honored to welcome the military members, veterans, first responders, and community heroes who joined us for our Heroes Walk Among Us celebration.

Seeing our hallways filled with smiles, pride, and gratitude was truly something special. ❤️🤍💙

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our heroes who took the time to visit us today. Your service, dedication, and courage provide such a wonderful example for our youngest learners.

The 12th annual Shredder Event will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10am, hosted by our Environmental Commission.

The event will be held in the parking lot of the Municipal Complex, 890 Harding Highway, Buena, Rain or Shine.

This is the perfect time to securely dispose of sensitive documents.

Other items which can be dropped off during the event include small electric devices, clothing, accessories such as purses and shoes, unused prescription medication, and retired US flags.

Items that will not be accepted include newspapers, magazines, phonebooks, binders, and accordion folders, as well as rags, toys, scraps, and liquid medication.

All emptied boxes must be taken away once contents are disposed.

Join the Buena Vista Township Environmental Commission for a fun, hands-on community workshop where we’ll build bat houses together!

This free family-friendly event is a great way to learn more about bats and create a home for these amazing creatures.

Space is limited, so don’t wait to sign up! Bring the family and help make Buena Vista a little more wildlife-friendly.

Our Trunk or Treat and Haunted Walk is back!

Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 6-8 pm at Michael Debbi Park in Richland.

Trick or treat through the fields and visit decorated cars and trucks. Enjoy a hay ride with your neighbors, and brave our haunted pathway through the woods if you dare.

Complimentary hot dog, beverage, and chips will be provided while supplies last.

This is a FREE event hosted by the consortium of Buena Vista Township Committees, and funded in part by its sponsors and donations received from the public.

Our community thrives when we lift each other up, and giving blood is one of the most powerful ways to help those in need.

Buena Vista Township is proud to once again partner with The American Red Cross to make a difference.

Wednesday, October 7 from 1pm -6pm we will be hosting a blood drive at the Municipal Complex, 890 Harding Highway, Buena.

Donors must visit RedCrossBlood.org to make an appointment.
