Buena Park Culture Fest and Parade is one short week away! Join us Saturday, September 19 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Boisseranc Park (7520 Dale St.) to celebrate the rich diversity of our community.

Intermittent street closures will be in effect along Dale Ave, starting north of La Palma Ave, from 12:30 - 3:30 PM as the parade makes its way to Boisseranc Park. Please plan your route, park accordingly, and show your support for the many cultural and community groups participating in the parade, beginning at 2:00 PM.

Then stick around! Culture Fest runs from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Boisseranc Park with live performances, food, community booths, and family-friendly activities celebrating the cultures that make up Buena Park.

Join your neighbors in a community effort to beautify your neighborhood! Volunteers will work together on projects to improve curb appeal and enhance safety.

Kickoff location: Corner of 8th St. and Los Robles Ave.

Volunteer Activities Include:
- Planting trees and greenery
- Painting fire hydrants & red curbs
- Picking up litter and debris
- Refreshing curbside house numbers

Bulky Item Drop Off
Residents may also dispose of large unwanted household items at no cost during the event on the Corner of 8th St. and Los Robles Ave.

Accepted Items:
Household Items & Furniture: Mattresses, rugs, couches, & other large items
Appliances & Metal Items: Refrigerators, washers, dryers, water heaters, & other large metal objects

General Trash, Green Waste, Medical Waste, Batteries, and Hazardous Waste will NOT be accepted.

Help us keep our community safe by disposing of unwanted guns, no questions asked.

On Sunday, September 27, Chair Doug Chaffee, City of Buena Park, and Buena Park Police Department will be hosting an anonymous gun buyback event.

The drive-up event will take place from 9 AM to 2 PM at Buena Park Community Center, 6688 Beach Blvd. Buena Park, CA 90621.

No IDs needed and no questions asked. Bring your unwanted weapons, unloaded in the trunk of your car or secured in the back of a vehicle. Limit of three fi****ms for gift cards per vehicle. No walk-ups allowed.

Road improvements are coming to Knott Avenue and 8th Street!

Work covers Knott Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, as well as 8th Street west of Knott Avenue. Crews will rehabilitate the roadway, update curb ramps, adjust utilities, refresh median landscaping, and install new signs and pavement markings.

Construction is anticipated to be completed by January 2027. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work near the SR-91 Freeway within the Caltrans right-of-way will take place Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

"No Parking" signs will be posted at least 72 hours before work begins in each area. Please follow all posted restrictions to avoid towing. Residential access, trash collection, mail delivery, and emergency services will continue, though driveway access may be limited during paving.

Please use caution near work zones and keep children away from active construction areas.
