👟🎒 Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Kicks for Kids event at Hope School!
Thanks to the generosity of La Palma Councilman Nitesh Patel, the Each One Teach One Foundation, and the Orange County Fire Authority, our students received brand-new shoes and backpacks filled with school supplies to help them begin the school year feeling prepared and confident.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this special day possible.

It is Deaf Awareness Month and we want to honor our Deaf and Hard of Hearing students by learning new signs and celebrating the awesome forms of communication we have the opportunity to know and learn! ASL! American Sign Language. Who’s in?

This week we are focusing on the word FAMILY. We are a family here at Hope and we want our Tiger Families to know we support and love their children by using all forms of communication! We spend our days giving our students new ways to share their feelings and teaching them new tasks! Why not take a moment and learn a few new sign language words to help out!

We hope you’ll join us this month as we celebrate!

Teamwork. Leadership. Decision-making.

With ASB elections happening this week, Junior High students explored what it means to be a leader, making thoughtful decisions, working together, and using your influence to help others succeed.

Students put those lessons into action through a hands-on bridge-building challenge, experiencing firsthand how leadership and teamwork can help a group reach a common goal.

A fun, meaningful lesson connecting today’s leadership skills to the journey toward adulthood! 💪🏽🐯

September is Deaf Awareness Month!

This month is a time to celebrate Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, learn about Deaf culture, and recognize the importance of accessibility and inclusion.

Deaf Awareness Month traces its roots to global advocacy efforts that began in 1958 with the World Federation of the Deaf.

Today, we continue that work by making sure deaf access is part of everyday life, because everyone deserves equal rights, safety, and the opportunity to fully participate in society.

Hope School invites you to be part of this month by learning something new, celebrating the Deaf community, and helping create a more accessible and inclusive world for everyone. 🤟
