Mount Olive Township Dept. of Public Works www.mountolivetwpnj.org The ROAD DEPARTMENT is responsible for keeping the township roadways in good repair and with proper signage and drainage.

We also are responsible for snow removal and ice control for the safety of the traveling public. The SANITATION DEPARTMENT is responsible for the pick up of solid waste, large items, leaves, brush, and recycling.

Get ready for a hands-on morning of BIG trucks, BIG wheels, and BIG fun!

From construction vehicles and emergency equipment to specialty trucks and more, kids of all ages can touch, explore, climb inside, and take photos with their favorite vehicles!

🔇 Sensory-Friendly Hour: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM\
To ensure all children can enjoy the event, horns, sirens, and loud demonstrations will be paused during the first hour.

📢 Horns On! 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM\
After 9:30 AM, vehicle operators will be giving demonstrations and sounding horns and sirens throughout the event!

The 4-H RC Club will be setting up an RC Car Track under the pavilion! Bring your own remote-control car and test your skills on the course. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow RC enthusiasts and see what the hobby is all about.

Big changes are coming to Mt. Playmore At Turkey Brook Park!

Saturday, June 13 Mt Playmore will be closed from 8:30am - 12:30pm. On Saturday, June 13, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Mt. Playmore will be closed as we begin an exciting playground refresh. Volunteers from Kiwanis of Mt Olive will be starting a repainting project that will bring new life, vibrant colors, and a fresh new look to one of our community's favorite destinations.

We appreciate your patience while we work to make Mt. Playmore even more fun, inviting, and beautiful for all who visit. We can't wait to share the transformation with you!

All American Parade & Celebration

America's 250th Anniversary Parade . The Township of Mount Olive, Mayor Joe Nicastro, Township Council, Mount Olive Recreation, and the All American 250th Anniversary Committee would like to inform residents of temporary road closures and increased activity related to the upcoming All-American Parade & Celebration on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The parade lineup will begin at 9:00 AM at Chester M. Stephens School. The parade will officially step off at 10:00 AM, traveling down Sunset Drive, onto Flanders Road, and into Turkey Brook Park via the Loop Road.

Please note that large fire apparatus, EMS vehicles, floats, and additional parade participants will begin lining up on Carson Drive starting at approximately 9:00 AM.

Beginning at approximately 9:45 AM, the following intersections/roads will be temporarily closed to traffic until approximately 11:00 AM:

• Carson Road / Washington Street\
• Flanders Road / Mount Olive Road\
• Flanders Road / Washington Street\
• Flanders Road / Elias Drive\
• Wynnewood Road / Clinton Ave\
• Chelsea Drive / Clinton Ave\
• Flanders Road / Marlyn Terrace

We kindly ask residents to plan accordingly during these times and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we celebrate this exciting community event honoring America’s 250th Anniversary.

We encourage residents to line the parade route and enjoy the festivities throughout the morning. Residents are also encouraged to park at Turkey Brook Park and enjoy our community celebration taking place on the event field from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM featuring:

• FREE Inflatables\
• FREE Face Painting\
• Vendors\
• Food\
• Children Entrepreneurs Under the Pavilion
