Meet Our Staff Monday:
Hi! My name is Tarah Hickel. I am thrilled to be joining the Elk Ridge Instructional Para team this year. I was a Specialized Para at WRHS for the last two years. I have a Bachelor’s in English from Southern New Hampshire University and am currently working on a Master’s in Education from WGU. I am married and have a five year old son who is about to start kindergarten. My hobbies include crocheting, reading, playing video games, and writing.

Traffic Update for Families
The City of Buckley is making a traffic change that may impact arrival and dismissal at our school in the next few weeks.

Beginning Sunday, September 6, the intersection of A Street and Main Street will become a four-way stop.

As our community adjusts to the new traffic pattern, families may experience some additional traffic or delays, particularly during school arrival and dismissal times.

Please allow a little extra time, use caution, and watch for students and pedestrians in the area.

Thank you for your patience and for helping keep our students safe.

🍎 Free Breakfast & Lunch for ALL Students! 🥪

Thanks to the huge response from our families last year, Elk Ridge qualified for free breakfast and lunch for ALL students this year!

The application must be completed every year, and the online application is now available through the Parent Portal.

How to apply:
1. Sign in to the Parent Portal.
2. Look at the tabs on the left and click Food Service.
3. Under Features, click Online Food Service Applications.
4. Complete and submit your application.

Meet Our Staff Monday:
Hi! My name is Ashley Poe, and I’m so excited to be an official Ranger. This will be my first year teaching after being a substitute for the past seven years. I recently finished two long-term positions at Elk Ridge, so I’m really looking forward to being back this year in 4th grade!

My husband and I were both born and raised in Enumclaw. We’ve been married for fifteen years and have three amazing kids. My two oldest will be in middle school in Enumclaw, and my youngest daughter will be joining me at Elk Ridge as a first grader. Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors, and on the weekends, you can probably find me cheering on my kids at one of their sporting events.

I’m looking forward to a wonderful year at Elk Ridge and can’t wait to meet all my students!

The wait is almost over! We can't wait to welcome our Rangers back for an amazing school year.
