Buckingham Township is the largest township in Bucks County, covering 33 square miles. Agriculture is Buckingham's principal industry and has been since its founding. In the past 40 years, Buckingham has transformed from rural to suburban. Buckingham is home to public parks, 40 acres of sports fields, gently rolling countryside, rich soil, and many streams. Through the purchase of easements and gifts, Buckingham has preserved 3,895 acres of farm fields, forests, and streams.

A special thank you to the Robert F. Schumann Foundation and Heritage Conservancy for making our new wildlife crossing sign on Upper Mountain Road possible! Located near Buckingham Mountain Preserve, this solar-powered sign will light up during amphibian migration nights, helping protect our local wildlife and the volunteers who help them safely cross.

Our 325th Anniversary commemorative brick pathway has officially been laid, and the time capsule has been buried!

This project is extra special as it was Mary Jane’s final major project after over 25 years of dedicated service to Buckingham Township. If you’ve attended a Township event over the years, chances are you’ve seen her familiar face. Mary Jane, the memories you’ve helped create will forever be part of Buckingham. Congratulations on a very well-deserved retirement, and thank you for years of service!
