BUCKHANNON, WV: Officials from the City of Buckhannon Police Department and the Upshur County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management are conducting a coordinated search for Christopher James Chenoweth, who has been reported missing and endangered.
Chenoweth is described as 5’8”, 185 pounds, with blue eyes. According to the report, he was last seen on foot near 160 Camden Avenue, wearing a gray/black T-shirt and gray shorts. The originating notice indicates that the subject may be experiencing a mental health crisis; therefore, the public should exercise caution if they encounter him.
Agencies actively engaged in search operations and information tracking include the City of Buckhannon Police Department, the City of Buckhannon Fire Department, the Upshur County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, the Upshur County Sheriff's Department, the West Virginia State Police, the West Virginia Division of Forestry, and the Upshur County CERTS.
