Upshur County Recreational Park The Upshur County Swimming Pool and Recreational Park provide fun summer activities for your entire family! We hope to see you at the park! Have a great summer!

The Upshur County Pool and Recreation Park was constructed in the early 1980's after receiving a grant from Senator Rockefeller IV, then Governor Rockefeller IV. Since then the Recreation Park has provided fun summer activities for people of all ages to enjoy. The park features an Olympic size swimming pool, small and large pavilions, a playground, a basketball court, and tennis courts. The park is open to the public during the summer months, from Memorial Day weekend through mid August. The swimming pool is open to the public from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday-Saturday, and 12:30-5:30 on Sundays The pool and pavilions are also available for private rental. Please find a list of fees below:

DAILY ADMISSION:
Monday - Saturday: $5.00 per person -$3.00 per person after 3pm and $2 per person after 5pm
Sunday: $3.00 per person FAMILY FUN DAY!
* No charge for children 3 years old or younger

SEASONAL POOL PASS:
One individual: $120.00; Each additional pass for Immediate family member is discounted by 50% ($60,$30, $15, $7.50)

One day passes are available in packs of 5 for $20.00

POOL PARTY:
Monday-Thursday
7:00pm-9:00pm
Friday and Saturday
6:00pm-8:00pm or 8:30pm-10:30pm
Sunday 6:00pm-8:00pm
1-40 attending: $200.00
41-80 attending: $225.00
81 and above attending: $250.00

SWIMMING LESSONS:
Group Swimming Lessons: Saturdays and Sundays
Private lessons for children under 4 years of age or by request as available. $15 per session -45 minute session. SHELTER RENTAL:
Large Shelter: $50.00 ($47.00 tax exempt) with Kitchen
Small Shelter: $25.00 ($23.50 tax exempt)

LAP SWIMMING:
Monday - Friday 7:45 AM-8:45 AM
$50 each pass or $3.00 per session
Saturday and Sunday 10:30am -11:30am

WATER AEROBICS: - $5 per session

Volunteer Board Opportunity

The Upshur County Commission is seeking an individual to serve on the **Buckhannon-Upshur Recreational Park Advisory Board**.

The fundamental purpose of the Board is to cooperate with the County Commission in providing recreational services and activities at County-owned facilities for the citizens of Upshur County.

This is a volunteer position, and the Board meets one evening each month. Applicants must be residents of Upshur County.

If you are interested in serving your community and helping support and enhance recreational opportunities for the citizens of Upshur County, we encourage you to submit a letter of interest via email to [email protected] .

For everyone’s safety, please maintain a slow speed while traveling through the Buckhannon-Upshur High School parking lot and around the pool entrance. Pool parking is located at the top of the hill this week, so expect increased foot traffic. Please stay alert and watch carefully for pedestrians entering and exiting the pool. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.

🐄🐖🐑 It's UCYLA Show & Sale Week! 🐇🐔

We are planning to proceed with all Upshur County Youth Livestock Association (UCYLA) Show & Sale events as scheduled.

Our 4-H and FFA exhibitors have spent the past year raising and caring for their market livestock projects while attending educational meetings, completing project books, tracking expenses, and maintaining animal health records. Their dedication, responsibility, and hard work deserve to be celebrated, and because of the nature of these projects, the show must go on.

Our hearts and prayers remain with everyone impacted by the recent storms and flooding. We know many families, farmers, businesses, and communities are facing a long road to recovery.

If you planned to attend the Livestock Shows or Market Livestock Sale, we hope you'll still join us to support these outstanding young 4-H and FFA members. Your attendance and encouragement mean the world to our exhibitors and their families.

Thank you to our incredible community for your continued support of the Upshur County Youth Livestock Program. We know our community is resilient, and together we will rebuild stronger than ever.

Only FFA and staff will be permitted through the parking lot. Stockert Youth Center, CDC, and any parents picking kids up will have to park at the top of hill and walk down.

Due to FFA setting up for their show and sale next week, everyone will be asked to park at the top of the hill so trailers can have plenty of room through the parking lot. Thank you!
