Part 2 🚁. Rescue specialist POV. Ranger 1 was requested by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the rescue of a BASE jumper who struck a rock wall during the jump and became stranded on a cliff face in the Superstition Mountains.

Ranger 1 responded to the scene and successfully conducted a hoist rescue using the STROP rescue device. After safely extracting the patient, the crew transported the jumper to the trailhead, where they were transferred to the care of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
