BOATING SAFETY CLASS FOR 3/28 HAS BEEN CANCELED. CLASS MOVED TO 4/11, SAME TIMES AND LOCATION

The first Safe Boating Class for 2026 will be held on Saturday, March 28th, from 0900-1600 hrs. at Harbor Community Center in Buckeye Lake.
This class is required by the State of Ohio for those born after 1-1-1982. This certification will need to be produced if requested by ODNR or local law enforcement.
Cost for the class will be $30 and includes State and USCGAUX certification cards. Registration will be the morning of the class.

Through the Auxiliary Partner Visitation program, local businesses, marinas, and offices host displays stocked with safety materials for the public to take, such as:
• PFD guides
• ECOS pamphlets
• VHF radio tips
• State & federal boating regulations

Two of the most public facing missions of the Coast Guard Auxiliary were established on the same day! In 1947, the Coast Guard Auxiliary was authorized to begin its Vessel Examiner and Education programs. Those missions continue to this day as an important part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
