Howdy folks. Due to the now issued heat index warning, in addition to the incoming severe weather (including possible tornado warnings), we need to err to the safety of concert goers, the band and the volunteers and reschedule tonight’s show. Keep an eye out for the reschedule date and we’ll get the train rolling again on Saturday for the Buchanan Jazz and Blues Festival! PLEASE SHARE

Reminder: Tonight's Planning Commission meeting will be a Public Open House for the City's new Master Plan and will be at 5pm at City Hall. This will be a forum for residents (and anyone with a stake in Buchanan's future) to share what they believe our priorities should be, as well as asking any questions they may have. If you don't have questions and just want to learn more, this is also an excellent way to get to know what a Master Plan is and what Buchanan's looks like.

There will also be a pop up event at the Buchanan Farmer's Market on Saturday, June 13th from 8am-1pm for anyone who'd like to attend but can't make it tonight.

Kathryn Park's new play equipment will be installed June 23 & 24! We are seeking volunteers to help build community and play equipment, no tools or experience necessary. The building will be led by an experienced supervisor from Sinclair Recreation, and we welcome anyone who would like to help. Lunch, water, and snacks will be provided. Recommended for ages 16+.

Tuesday, June 9th -7pm at City Hall - Please join the Planning Commission in a public open house for Buchanan's upcoming Master Plan. The Master Plan lays out the City's priorities for development, land use, and housing - so if you have thoughts on what the next few decades of Buchanan should look like, this is the forum to share them! Creating the Master Plan is a collaborative process between the Planning Commission and the community, and the final product is only successful with your input.
