Please take a moment to hear from one of our citizens. Lt. Kadner and Firefighter Beasley, thank you for making these kids’ night so special!

β€œMy name is Will Kent and I wanted to let you know about an incredible experience my son and his friend had last because of 2 of your firefighters. My 9 year old son and his buddy/teammate were standing in the parking lot of the Tallapoosa rec department after baseball practice when they saw the new fire truck drive by and they pumped their arms for the driver to honk the horn. The next thing we know the truck pulls into the parking lot, honks the horn, and cuts the lights on. Both firefighters get out to greet the boys and then proceed to show them all of the cool things on the truck while talking to them about firefighting. Their passion for the job and love of the community were clearly displayed as they allowed the boys to try on their hats, touch the hoses, and sit in the truck. Usually my son and I talk about baseball on the way home from practice but last night it was ALL about firefighting.”

HCFD Station 8 had a very special visit from some great citizens today. They came by to drop off some thank you notes, and while they were there Lt. Kadner gave them a truck and station tour. Thanks for stopping by and brightening our day! πŸš’

πŸ”₯ FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION β€” October 2026

The Haralson County Fire Department is excited to spend the month of October visiting our local schools throughout the county to provide fire safety education to our students!

Fire safety is one of our favorite times of the year. It gives our firefighters the opportunity to get out into the community, interact with our youth, and teach important lessons about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and what to do in the event of a fire.

We always enjoy giving students the opportunity to meet their local firefighters, see the fire trucks and equipment, and learn about the work we do to keep our community safe.

πŸ“… If your school, daycare, or organization would like to be added to our October Fire Safety schedule, please contact Chief Dobbs @ (470)-576-1967 to coordinate a date and time.

We look forward to another great month of fire safety education and spending time with the youth of Haralson County!

⚠️ WEATHER & ROADWAY ALERT ⚠️

Haralson County is currently experiencing numerous trees and power lines down throughout the county, and we are expecting multiple rounds of heavy rainfall to continue through the area.

With the ground becoming increasingly saturated, the risk of additional trees falling, flash flooding, and hazardous roadway conditions will remain elevated.

🚨 Please use extreme caution:

* Avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rainfall.
* Never drive around barricades or emergency vehicles blocking a roadway.
* Never drive through flooded roadways β€” Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
* Stay away from downed power lines and always assume they are energized.
* Be alert for fallen trees, limbs, standing water, and washed-out roadways.

Haralson County Fire Department and other agencies are actively responding to weather-related incidents throughout the county.

Please remain weather-aware and allow emergency and road crews room to work safely.
