EBCI Tribal Historic Preservation Office

EBCI Tribal Historic Preservation Office The EBCI THPO is a Tribal office that is dedicated to protecting and preserving the history and culture of the Cherokee people.

Our office processes all Section 106, Section 110, and NEPA project requests within an eight-state territory, as well as on the Qualla Boundary. We also handle all NAGPRA consultations for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians. This office conducts historical research, and is in the process of building an extensive library of Archaeology, Cherokee history, and Native American history.

Siyo Nigada! We are excited to announce the launch of our Collections Online!!

This has been a tedious project we have been working for over a year, and are thrilled to see this come into fruition. None of this would have been possible with the help of our IT Department and Terentia (our Digital Asset Management System).

Please find our new collections online here: JunaluskaMuseum.ebci.gov

We hope you enjoy our collections and are able to connect to the Snowbird Community.
