Today, Brazos Transit District is honored to celebrate an incredible milestone for Texas WWII veteran Mr. Weldon Bowen, who turns 100 years young!

Mr. Bowen, thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

Please join us in wishing this true American hero a very Happy 100th Birthday!

As students head back to school this week, we want to give a special shoutout to Hayes Weedon of Brazos Christian School! Hayes was recognized in National RTAP’s 2026 What I Like About Rural Transit Student Art Contest for his artwork, “Space Shuttle.” 🚀🚌 We love seeing young artists use their creativity to celebrate rural transit, and we’re proud to see a local student recognized on the national level! 👏

Congratulations, Hayes, and best wishes to all students heading back to the classroom this week! 📚✏️ We hope you have a wonderful first day and an amazing school year ahead!
