For more than 30 years, Ella McGruder has stood right beside Jeannie, helping carry the vision, the work, and the heart of Project Unity.

Three decades of service cannot be measured simply in years. It is measured in the lives touched, the families strengthened, the difficult seasons weathered, the victories celebrated, and the countless hours spent doing the work when no one was watching.

Ella has been more than a colleague in this journey. She has been a steady presence, a trusted leader, and an important part of the foundation upon which Project Unity has continued to grow. Through changing programs, expanding services, new challenges, and new opportunities, Ella has remained committed to the mission and to the people we serve.

When you look at more than 30 years of Jeannie and Ella serving side by side, you are looking at legacy. You are looking at friendship, loyalty, perseverance, sacrifice, and a shared belief that strong communities are built when people are willing to give themselves to something bigger than themselves.

Ella, thank you for more than three decades of showing up, standing alongside Jeannie, and pouring into Project Unity and our community. Your fingerprints are woven throughout this organization, and your legacy continues.

There are leaders who hold a title, and then there are leaders whose lives have become part of the story of a community.

For Jeannie Mansill, CEO of Project Unity, this work has never been confined to an office, a schedule, or a job description. It has been a lifetime of showing up, serving, advocating, building relationships, solving problems, and believing in people.

There are countless hours most will never see. Early mornings. Late nights. Difficult conversations. Quiet acts of compassion. Meetings where someone had to keep pushing for the needs of families to be heard. Moments when the easiest thing would have been to walk away, but Jeannie stayed.

Her leadership has helped shape Project Unity into more than an organization. It is a place where families find support, individuals find opportunity, and communities discover what can happen when people refuse to stop caring.

A lifetime of service cannot be measured simply in programs, numbers, or reports. It is measured in lives touched, families strengthened, doors opened, and hope restored.

Jeannie, thank you for the years you have poured into this community and for the countless hours you continue to give.

Your legacy is being written every day in the people Project Unity serves.

For Empowerment. For Hope. For Community.

💙 HEALTHIER FAMILIES. STRONGER COMMUNITIES. REAL IMPACT.

The numbers are in, and we are incredibly proud of the work happening through Project Unity’s Brazos Healthy Communities (BHC) program!

Since June 2023, BHC has received 810 referrals and enrolled 411 individuals and families, including 236 pregnant mothers and 175 individuals living with chronic health conditions.

But the real story is what happens after someone says YES to support.

🏠 2,880 home visits completed
🛤️ 5,335 care Pathways opened
✅ 4,592 Pathways successfully completed — a 97.1% successful completion rate

And we are seeing outcomes that matter.

Among births to BHC participants, 94.8% resulted in a healthy baby birthweight and 93.6% were full-term births. Among participants affected by depression at enrollment, 79% reduced their PHQ-9 depression severity scores over the course of services.

Behind every number is a person. A mother. A baby. A family. A neighbor who needed someone to help navigate the complicated road between healthcare and the resources necessary to thrive.

We are grateful for our incredible BHC Community Health Workers, our healthcare and community partners, and everyone who continues to trust Project Unity to walk alongside our neighbors.

This is what community health looks like. This is what partnership looks like. And this is Project Unity. 💙

COMMUNITY ISN’T JUST WHERE WE WORK. IT’S HOW WE WORK. ❤️

At Project Unity, we believe the best way to understand a community is to be in it.

Listening. Connecting. Showing up. Building relationships. Learning what families need and making sure they know where to turn when they need support.

You’ll find our team at community events, neighborhood gatherings, resource fairs, schools, partner organizations, and sometimes simply having conversations with the people we serve. Because meaningful impact rarely begins behind a desk. It begins with engagement.

Every conversation is an opportunity to connect someone to a resource, strengthen a partnership, hear a new perspective, or simply remind someone that they are seen.

That’s Project Unity.

Present in the community. Connected to the community. Working alongside the community.

Because unity doesn’t happen by accident. We show up and build it.

We were honored to welcome Bastrop County Cares to Project Unity and host their team at our facility! 💙

There is something powerful about bringing community partners together in the same room—sharing ideas, learning from one another, and having meaningful conversations about how we can better serve families and strengthen communities across Texas.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share more about the work happening at Project Unity, introduce them to our programs and services, and discuss the possibilities that emerge when organizations committed to people and community come together.

Thank you, Bastrop County Cares, for spending time with us. We value the connection and look forward to seeing where continued collaboration takes us!

Partnership strengthens impact—and together, we can do more.

🏡 More Than a Building. A Place for Families to Thrive.

At the Project Unity Brazos Family Resource Center (FRC), we believe strong communities begin with strong, supported families.

Our Brazos FRC is a place where families can walk through the door, be welcomed without judgment, and connect with resources designed to help them move forward. Whether a family needs help navigating community services, access to essential resources, encouragement during a difficult season, or simply someone who will listen and help identify the next step—we're here.

But the FRC is about more than meeting an immediate need. It's about building relationships, strengthening families, and creating pathways toward long-term stability.

Every connection matters. Every family matters. And every time we help a family take one step forward, Brazos County becomes a little stronger.

Connecting families. Strengthening communities. Creating pathways forward.

What if changing a life didn’t require a huge gift—just a consistent one?

Introducing Club365, a community of people committed to making an impact every single day of the year through Project Unity.

The idea is simple: $1 a day. $365 a year. Real, local impact.

That daily dollar becomes more than a donation. It helps Project Unity strengthen families, connect people with critical resources, support children and parents, provide practical assistance during difficult seasons, and build stronger communities across the areas we serve.

And when we do it together, the impact multiplies.

100 members = $36,500 a year.
250 members = $91,250 a year.
500 members = $182,500 a year.

Club365 isn't about waiting for one person to write a massive check. It's about building a community of people who believe that small, faithful generosity—multiplied together—can create extraordinary change.

For about the cost of a cup of coffee every few days, you can become part of something that lasts all year long.

$1 a day. 365 days. Countless opportunities to make a difference.

Join Club365 today and help us build stronger families and stronger communities—one day at a time.

Will you be one of the 365?
