CHI St. Joseph Health EMS

CHI St. Joseph Health EMS Welcome to the official St. Joseph Health EMS page. ~St. Joseph Health EMS: Delivering Exceptional Care Across the Brazos Valley~
St.

Joseph Health EMS (SJEMS) began in 1998 when Burleson County EMS and Madison County EMS joined the St. Joseph Regional Health system. Starting with five ambulances and 35 dedicated crew members, the agency set out with a single mission: to provide exceptional, high-quality healthcare to the Brazos Valley. Over nearly 30 years, SJEMS has grown into one of the largest EMS agencies in the state. Toda

y, the team includes over 170 crew members, 14 ambulances, 3 supervisor units, and 2 helicopters in service daily. SJEMS also operates its own 911 dispatch center and on-site mechanic shop, ensuring rapid, reliable response across the region. Our providers work under advanced medical protocols with state-of-the-art equipment. All crew members continuously evaluate their skills, participate in monthly training, and refine patient care through ongoing quality improvement initiatives. In 2025, SJEMS responded to more than 17,600 calls, including 911 emergencies, critical care transports, inter-facility transfers, and air medical missions. Beyond emergency care, our team supports major regional events such as the Texas Renaissance Festival, the “Live at the Station!” concert, Chilifest, and Texas A&M football games. SJEMS also stands ready for TDEM deployments when called upon. Proudly serving Burleson, Brazos, Grimes, Leon, and Madison counties, SJEMS remains committed to providing the highest quality EMS care to our communities.

🩸 One donation can save up to three lives. 🩸

Every day, trauma patients, cancer patients, surgery patients, and accident victims depend on blood that was donated before their emergency ever happened. When the call comes, there’s no time to make blood, it has to already be on the shelf.

Join us on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Centerville Fire Station, 325 E. St. Mary’s Street, and help make a lifesaving difference.

You don’t have to wear a badge to be a hero. You just have to care.

✅ Save lives
✅ Receive a limited-edition Texas donor hat
✅ Receive a $25 eGift Card
✅ Help ensure blood is available when someone’s worst day becomes today

Whether you donate regularly or it’s your first time, we encourage everyone who is eligible to participate.

Together, we can make a lifesaving difference, one donation at a time. ❤️🩸

This Memorial Day, SJEMS honors and remembers the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

As we spend time with family and friends, we pause to reflect on the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Thank you to all who have served, and especially to those who never made it home.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Happy EMS Week from all of us at the CVFD!

This week, we recognize the men and women of EMS who answer the call day and night to provide care, comfort, and lifesaving service to our communities. Whether it’s on the side of Interstate 45, in someone’s home, or during a major emergency, our EMS crews are always ready to respond.

Thank you to the paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, first responders, and all emergency medical personnel who dedicate their lives to helping others. Your professionalism, sacrifice, and compassion do not go unnoticed.

We are proud to work alongside our local EMS partners every day. Stay safe, and thank you for everything you do for Leon County and beyond.
