I am pleased to announce that during our weekly training meeting at Fire Station 1 on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Firefighter Mike Gage was appointed to the rank of Lieutenant.

Mike brings extensive experience to this role. He served with the Paola, Kansas Fire Department from 1989 to 2009, including eight years as Assistant Fire Chief. Following his retirement there, he served as a firefighter with the Boulevard Fire Department in Montana for nine years before relocating to Texas.

Since joining Brazos County Precinct 4 VFD, Mike has become a top responder and a dedicated mentor to our new firefighters.

Please join me in congratulating Lieutenant Gage on his well-deserved promotion.

Best regards,

Joe Don Warren
