City of Brush will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Friday's trash route will be picked up on Monday, June 22nd. Please have your trash out by 7:00 a.m. on Monday.

We have made the difficult decision to not host the Brush Rush 5k Run/Walk this year. It has been a tough decision since the race has been in existence since 1983. We have had declining enrollment over the past several years, and it has been increasingly difficult to find enough volunteers to run a safe and successful event. Again, we are sorry that we have to cancel this event.

The Brush pool will be closed today, May 31st, due to the pool staff being in training/certification class. We will re-open Monday for night swim 7-9pm, and regular hours on Tuesday.

Some fun upcoming events from the Rec Department to put on your calendar and share with a friend...

Summer's here and so are the events!
We have summer games and fun lined up on Monday nights, starting with a corn hole tournament on June 1st at 5:30pm at the Joslin-Needham complex (west of the swimming pool).
No registration is necessary and it is free to the community.
Grab a partner, or show and get teamed up!

Memorial Day brought many families to the Brush Memorial Cemetery to visit and decorate their loved ones' graves. From the Thursday prior to Memorial Day until the Monday one week after Memorial Day, flowers may be placed in the grass.

Decorations that are placed in the grass need to please be removed by the end of the day Monday, June 1st so our grounds crews can resume mowing and trimming operations on June 2nd. Decorations contained on the headstone foundation will not need to be moved.

Any decorations remaining in the grass will be removed by our grounds crew and placed in the lost and found bin on the west side of the north cemetery by the shop.
