Donor Spotlight: 100 Women Who Care 🩷

At Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, we’re proud to support donors who are making a difference through collective giving.

100 Women Who Care of St Simons Island brings women together around a simple idea: when we give together, we can make a greater impact in our community.

Since its founding, the group has grown to more than 400 members and has donated more than $725,000 to charities serving Glynn County — with an even greater impact through matching grants.

Four times a year, members gather to hear from three local nonprofits and vote on which organization will receive their collective gift. Each member contributes $100 per quarter, with 100% of those donations going directly to the selected nonprofit.

Through CCGF, donations are collected and distributed seamlessly, allowing members to focus on what matters most: learning about local needs, connecting with one another, and giving back.

Donor Spotlight: Nonprofit Leadership Roundtable for Coastal Georgia

At Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, we believe a stronger nonprofit community creates a stronger Coastal Georgia.

The Nonprofit Leadership Roundtable for Coastal Georgia brings nonprofit leaders together to share knowledge, build relationships, solve challenges, and find opportunities to collaborate.

With 49 member organizations representing communities and causes across the region, the NPLR helps organizations learn from one another, prevent duplication of services, and use resources more efficiently — allowing nonprofits to focus on what they do best.

Through the NPLR Fund, supporters help strengthen nonprofit leadership, expand shared learning opportunities, and build a more connected and resilient nonprofit community.

🐢 Donor Spotlight: Protecting Georgia’s Sea Turtles

At Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, we’re proud to highlight the fundholders who are helping protect the places and causes that make Coastal Georgia special.

For more than 35 years, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources has worked through the Georgia Sea Turtle Cooperative to monitor and protect sea turtle nests along Georgia’s coast.

Cumberland Island alone averages approximately 830 nests each year, accounting for about 30% of Georgia’s statewide nesting effort. Protecting these nests is critical to supporting the long-term survival and recovery of loggerhead sea turtles.

Through this fund, donors can help support daily nesting surveys, essential field equipment, trained seasonal staff, nest protection, hatching success, and research that helps scientists better understand sea turtle populations.

CCGF Out in the Community 💚

It was a busy week for CCGF, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to spend so much time out in our community connecting with fundholders, nonprofit partners, and fellow community leaders.

Here’s a little look at where we’ve been this week:

⭐ 100 Men Who Give of Glynn County celebrated a $10,000 grant to STAR of Coastal Georgia! We were excited to be there alongside Justin Calloway, President of 100 Men, Donna Davis, President & CEO of STAR of Coastal Georgia, Susan Imhoff, STAR Board Member, and CCGF President & CEO Keeva Kase.

🤝 Greater Valdosta United Way has expanded its service area to include Camden and Glynn Counties. Keeva welcomed GVUW President & CEO Michael Smith to Glynn County for a tour of local nonprofits, including the American Red Cross, The Gathering Place, and Sparrow’s Nest.

And that was just part of the week!

One of our favorite parts of working at CCGF is getting to see the people and organizations who are strengthening our community firsthand. We’re proud to be out, making connections, celebrating good work, and learning more about the incredible things happening across Coastal Georgia.

Here’s to another week of showing up for our community! 💚

Donor Spotlight: 100 Men Who Give of Glynn County

At Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, we’re proud to spotlight the donors and giving groups helping strengthen our community through philanthropy.

100 Men Who Give of Glynn County is a great example of what can happen when individuals come together around a shared commitment to giving. Since launching in 2023, the group has raised more than $160,000 for local nonprofits across Coastal Georgia.

The concept is simple: 100 men give $100 each quarter, then come together to learn about local organizations and decide where their collective gift can make an impact.

Through their giving, 100 Men Who Give has supported youth programs, mentorship, children and families, and other organizations working to meet needs throughout our community.

We’re grateful to highlight the impact of this giving circle and the difference its members are making through collective philanthropy.
