As we welcome the spring season, it is important to adhere to the city's lawn maintenance requirements. Please take note of the following guidelines:

Yard Maintenance: All exterior properties must be kept clean, safe, and free from rubbish. After May 1st, properties must be maintained free of weeds and plant growth exceeding 12 inches. Citizens are responsible for maintaining the grass strip by the sidewalk and cutting back vegetation to the alley and road edges. A regular cutting every two weeks is recommended to help keep your property in compliance during the normal season.

Don't forget to trim any bushes or trees that are encroaching onto sidewalks, alleys, and roads.

Sidewalks: Make sure that all clippings are removed from sidewalks after you mow. Also, any weeds growing up from openings may not be higher than the surface of the sidewalk.

We encourage all residents to work together to maintain the beauty and safety of Brunswick.

Should you have any questions or need to report a violation, please contact the City's Codes Enforcement Department.

Thank you for your cooperation and have a wonderful spring season.
