Yesterday was one for the history books. 🇺🇸🌊

Tin Can Timepieces was proud to support Deborah Gardner and her incredible crew as she took on the Santa Barbara Channel entirely on backstroke.

Out on the water, Tin Can watches were on the wrists of the crew supporting Deborah every step — and stroke — of the way.

Deborah’s swim represents exactly what we believe in: endurance, determination, and pushing beyond what most people think is possible.

🌊 IT HAS BEGUN! 🌊

At 5:38:55 AM this morning, Deborah Gardner placed her palm on the cliff at Anacapa Island and officially began her historic swim across the Santa Barbara Channel — taking on the 12-mile journey to the mainland on backstroke.

At 67 years young, Deborah is once again proving that dreams don’t age.

This swim is about more than breaking records. Deborah is swimming in honor of her father, Major Joedy Gardner (USMC Ret.), our veterans, and in continued support of Southern Cross Service Dogs, helping provide service dogs to veterans.

We are incredibly proud to have Tin Can Timepieces supporting Deborah on this extraordinary journey.

Second purchase from Tin Can Timepieces, and this one was for my wife. She absolutely loves it.

The Siren Tropical Teal really stands out in person. The vibrant teal dial, polished applied markers, subtle sparkle from the indices, and contrasting pink seconds hand give it a ton of personality without feeling overdone. I also think the polished case and bracelet were the right choice—they frame the dial beautifully and let the color be the star.

It’s a fun, distinctive watch that looks even better on the wrist. Another great experience with Tin Can Timepieces, and after two purchases, I continue to be impressed with what they’re putting together. 👏⌚
