🌟 Congratulations to Judge Joyce Kimbler! 🌟

The HANDS Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Judge Joyce Kimbler, who was honored yesterday with the C.J. McLin Award at the 38th Annual Conference of the Ohio Justice Alliance for Community Corrections. The award was presented during the Alliance’s annual awards luncheon, recognizing her outstanding dedication to justice and rehabilitation.

The Ohio Justice Alliance for Community Corrections (OJACC) works to educate elected officials, the media, law enforcement, and the public about the critical role of community corrections in our criminal justice system.

Judge Kimbler received this prestigious award for her impactful work with her Drug Court, a specialized docket focused on treatment and recovery. She also oversees a Mental Health Court, further demonstrating her commitment to restorative justice and support for those in need.

The awards luncheon featured moving quotes from individuals who successfully completed Judge Kimbler’s Drug Court. One participant shared:

“Instead of getting the proper treatment, I self-medicated and it took me down a rough road which landed me in a position where I got placed in front of a wonderful woman named Judge Joyce Kimbler of Medina County.”

We also congratulate Chief Probation Officer Veronica Perry and the entire Medina County Probation Department, whom Judge Kimbler credited in her remarks for holding participants accountable and supporting their progress every step of the way.

👏 Well done, Judge Kimbler! Your work continues to change lives and inspire communities.

Medina County is truly the ideal destination for seniors, embodying the essence of community and care. At the heart of this vibrant locale lies an unwavering commitment to supporting our senior population. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Emily Underwood, LPN, and Shawna Wallon, LPN, from Echelon of Medina, for their tireless efforts over the past months in raising over $10,000 for the Medina County Walk to End Alzheimer’s. These dedicated professionals have consistently provided exceptional care for seniors with Alzheimer’s, demonstrating their passion and commitment for years. Thank you, Emily, Shawna, and the entire team at Echelon of Medina, for your invaluable contributions in enhancing the lives of our seniors in Medina County. We are truly fortunate to have you (we meaning the world)!🩷

Let’s hear it for these ladies! 🎉🥳

We are thrilled to collaborate with BTR Haus and Pride One Construction in making a meaningful contribution to our community! Today, the HANDS Foundation has taken a significant step by purchasing 24 laundry baskets to launch this initiative. It's important to highlight that a growing number of seniors face homelessness, with recent statistics indicating that approximately 25% of the homeless population in many urban areas are seniors. Together, we can make a difference in their lives AND in the lives of others! If you are interested in contributing to the donation efforts by BTR Haus and Pride One, you are welcome to deliver items to Ms. Fechko at the Pride One office, available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. 🩷
