🌟 Congratulations to Judge Joyce Kimbler! 🌟
The HANDS Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Judge Joyce Kimbler, who was honored yesterday with the C.J. McLin Award at the 38th Annual Conference of the Ohio Justice Alliance for Community Corrections. The award was presented during the Alliance’s annual awards luncheon, recognizing her outstanding dedication to justice and rehabilitation.
The Ohio Justice Alliance for Community Corrections (OJACC) works to educate elected officials, the media, law enforcement, and the public about the critical role of community corrections in our criminal justice system.
Judge Kimbler received this prestigious award for her impactful work with her Drug Court, a specialized docket focused on treatment and recovery. She also oversees a Mental Health Court, further demonstrating her commitment to restorative justice and support for those in need.
The awards luncheon featured moving quotes from individuals who successfully completed Judge Kimbler’s Drug Court. One participant shared:
“Instead of getting the proper treatment, I self-medicated and it took me down a rough road which landed me in a position where I got placed in front of a wonderful woman named Judge Joyce Kimbler of Medina County.”
We also congratulate Chief Probation Officer Veronica Perry and the entire Medina County Probation Department, whom Judge Kimbler credited in her remarks for holding participants accountable and supporting their progress every step of the way.
👏 Well done, Judge Kimbler! Your work continues to change lives and inspire communities.
