Today, the City of Brunswick kicked off the summer and celebrated the completed improvements at Howard Coffin Park with a sign unveiling, lunch, family fun, pool time, and more! 🎉

These upgrades were made possible through a $2.1 million grant awarded to the City by the Georgia Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, along with $600,000 in local funds, bringing the total investment to $2.7 million. Full list of improvements can be found by visiting tinyurl.com/y3t2h536.

During today’s program, we had special remarks from Mayor Cosby Johnson, Mayor Pro Tem Lance Sabbe, Commissioner Felicia Harris, Commissioner Kendra Rolle, County Commissioner Allen Booker, City Manager Regina McDuffie, and Director Vanessa Booker.

☀️ What an amazing way to end our afterschool year! Our kiddos had a blast on the last day with a fun cookout and lots of laughs at the splash pad! 💦🌭🎉

Thank you to all of our families for an incredible 2025–2026 afterschool year. We appreciate all of your love and support throughout the school year. Watching the kiddos learn, grow, and make memories has truly been a blessing.

Afterschool may be done, but the fun isn’t over yet… Summer Camp will soon begin, and we can’t wait for more adventures with our kiddos! ☀️😎🎈

Join us Saturday, May 23 for a sign unveiling, refreshments, and family fun at Howard Coffin Park! 🎉🌭

We’re celebrating $2.7 million in park improvements at HCP, made possible by a $2.1 million grant from the Georgia Governor's Office of Planning and Budget plus $600,000 contributed in local funds.
