Protecting the nation is what we do! Echoes filled the auditorium as the trainees of Session 730 prepared to be sworn in as Federal Law Enforcement Officers following the successful completion of their Customs and Border Protection Officer Basic Training.

These new officers are now prepared to take on the vital mission of securing our nation’s borders at their respective ports of entry. As they begin their service, they will play a critical role in enforcing our laws.

A special thank you to the class mentor, Nico Twardy, Deputy Director of the CBP Watch. Her knowledge and wisdom have been instrumental in ensuring the graduates of Session 730 are fully prepared to meet the challenges of a CBP Officer.

Experiencing the effects of an Electronic Control Weapon (ECW) firsthand provides trainees with a clear understanding of the physiological effects and safety protocols associated with these devices. When an officer understands exactly how the device functions and what it feels like, they are better prepared to deploy it.
