Lawson’s in our neighborhood

Lawsons: The chain began as a single dairy store in Cuyahoga Falls in 1939. Founded by James “J.J” Lawson, the stores multiplied throughout Ohio. He sold the company to Consolidated Foods in 1958. Consolidated continued operating more than 700 Lawson stores in the Midwest, into the 1980s, when the chain was sold to Dairy Mart. All 48 stores in Stark County were rebranded as Dairy Marts in 1987. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2001. The chain was purchased by a company that rebranded them again with the Circle K name. The Lawson name, though, remains very much alive in Japan. There are more than 14,000 “Lawson Station” stores in that country.

"Are there any photos of Lawsons on mill road in breaksville Ohio? From early 70's
Possibly that show the White House next to it...
If looking at the store from the street the house would be to the right.
If possible street numbers from either. My family and I lived in that house. I know it was torn down at some point decades ago. Thank you kindly🦋"

Started the morning with breakfast at Finny’s on the Towpath in Kenmore. Really cool to see everything that Ken and the team have done to outfit this old Lawson’s building. There’s a new canopy just installed and a new patio coming soon – excited to see this energy along Manchester Road. I told Ken that the proximity to the towpath really reminded me of Fisher’s in Peninsula – growing up, we used to bike from the Beaver Pond, stop at Fishers for chicken fingers or ice cream, and then head back. Big thanks to Ward 9 Councilperson Tina Brode Boyes for suggesting it and for all her advocacy in this part of Ward 9.

“Gordon Ramsay visited Lyla's Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls on Bailey Road last month. I'm not sure but I think this was an old Lawsons location, based on the design of the building!”

This is at Portage Path and Merriman in Akron. Does anyone remember what was in the North side of this building when it was still a Lawson’s on the other side? Anyone have any pictures?

there was a Lawson's on water Street in uhrichsville Ohio a long time ago in the 60s.

Does anyone have pictures of it ? Pictures of where it was?
