Missouri American Water will begin their line replacement project today, May 4, 2026. The worksite will run from Polk Street to Orange Street. Please use caution in the area while construction is in progress.

The City of Brunswick is now accepting applications for lifeguards for the 2026 Pool Season. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have obtained certification. Applications will be accepted until end of business Monday, May 18, 2026.

Applications can be picked up and dropped off Monday-Thursday 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m./1:00p.m.-4:30p.m., or Fridays from 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Please contact Brunswick City Hall at 660-548-3028 with any further inquiries.

**NOTICE**
RTS will be placing a rolloff dumpster in the west parking lot of the Railyard Steakhouse building on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1, 2026. If you are in violation of the nuisance ordinance, this is the time to utilize this opportunity to clean up your property and abate the violations.

Items that will NOT be allowed are tires, batteries, and appliances containing freon. This is to be used by Brunswick City Limits residents ONLY. There will be cameras monitoring the site.

**UPDATE** The road is now clear

Flooding at Wood Street has left the road completely underwater. Please avoid the area and take alternate routes on the back street if you need to get through.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Mayor Tom Burkhart was sworn in for a two-year term. Aldermen Michael Hamilton and Tim Wheeler were sworn in for another two-year term.

Sarah Clubine was re-appointed and sworn in as City Clerk, Robert Cowherd was re-appointed as City Attorney, and Gary Drag was re-appointed as City Prosecutor. Alderman Wendell Turner was appointed as Mayor Pro-Tem. Congratulations to all!

And a special thank you to former mayor, Diane Rice, for 4 years of service and leadership. Your accomplishments and commitment to the community are so appreciated!
