Town Hall Place will convert to one way starting the week of Monday, June 29, from Maine Street. The gist of it is that downtown will gain parking, the businesses there will preserve their outdoor space, and all of the updates are ADA compliant. A win-win-win.

📢📢 Back again for your weekly notice of next week's major road projects so you can plan ahead. CURRENT MAJOR ROAD PROJECTS – Week of June14, 2026

Pleasant Street – DOT Contractors are conducting night paving operations. Expect lane closures and traffic delays overnight. Estimated completion is late-June. The right-hand turn onto River Rd was temporarily removed during temporary striping as it did not meet DOT policy. It will return during final surfacing and striping once the centerline is shifted over to increase the width of the right-hand turn.

Owen St and Robinson Ave – Crews are finishing final pavement repairs next week

Bridge Rd – Crews are finishing repairs on Bridge Rd next week

Hillside, Grant, and Quarry – Contractor is finishing shoulder work next week

Lunt Rd – Public Works is replacing cross culverts and performing shoulder work before paving operations begin. Expect minor traffic delays. Temporary road closure tentatively scheduled for 6/17 for large tree removal. Message boards will advertise the date of the closure.

Old Bath Rd –Paving project tentatively scheduled for July-August. Lane closures and traffic delays to be expected. More updates will follow.

Maine St – Town will start paving project from Bath Rd to Mere Point Rd in July with substantial completion by September. Lane closures, lane shifts, and traffic delays to be expected. More updates will follow.

Jordan Ave – The replacement of a stream crossing and full depth reconstruction of Jordan Ave with a new multi modal path from Lori Dr to Bath Rd will occur this summer and fall. Lane closures and traffic delays to be expected. More updates will follow.

Wildwood Neighborhood – The paving project for this neighborhood has been delayed a year. Town Public Works will be addressing the worst areas this summer in lieu of the delay.

Maine St Streetscape – The west side of Maine St from Town Hall Place to Pleasant
Street streetscape improvement is scheduled for September-October. Restricted
parking on this block will occur during the project. More updates will follow.

It's ELECTION DAY! All voting for the June 9 School Budget Validation Referendum, Region 10 Referendum, and the State Primary will take place TODAY at the Brunswick Recreation Center, 220 Neptune Drive, from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in order to be counted.
