Longtime member and secretary Bro. Ed Devery passed away in his sleep last night.

Obituary for Edward Devery, Ed Devery, 67, of Brownwood passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, in his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, 2:00 pm at St. John's Church with Father Michael

Reminder: 1st Annual Wes Fletcher Jr golf tournament will be held on Saturday 19th of July at Brownwood Country Club. $80 per player and a four man team. Please be involved if you can and tell everyone you know who may be interested. This is all for a great cause and even better fellowship.

Couple of announcements of events for you to add to your calendar.

May Lodge will assist the Grand Lodge of Texas in laying a conerstone at the new faciltiy at the May school on April 18th, 2013. The open a Representation of Grand Lodge of Texas at 11:30, then have a meal and head to the school for the ceremony to begin at 1:00PM.

Brownwood Lodge will be having an EA exam on Thursday April 11th at 6PM, over the 2nd and 3rd sections only. Please plan to attend.

Brethren, This Thursday March 7th is the March Stated Meeting. This will also be the first official visit from our new District Deputy. Bro. Charlie Bob Dodds, Bro. Jason McLaughlin and Bro. Charlie Cabler will be providing the meal. Some important information regarding the upcoming s***t shoot and scholarship raffle will be discussed. See you there!

We will be hosting the second annual s***t shoot abd BBQ benefiting the Wesley Fletcher, Jr. Memorial Scholarship and Brownwood Masonic Lodge #279 A.F. & A.M. We will be raffeling off an AR-15 with all proceeds going to further the education of students in Brown Co. More details to come.....stay tuned!

Funeral service for Bro. Bobby Jean Waller will be Thursday at 10AM at Heartland Funeral Home. Burial service with Masonic Rites will be a memorial spreading of the ashes at a later date. We will let you know when that will be as soon as we are informed.
