active duty= full time position and
reserves= 1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year after Mos certification.
active duty relocates based on the needs of the army and reservist are assigned to a local reserve unit in the area of an accepted assignment.

Base pay: E-4 $2,046.00 , Basic Housing allowance $1,500.00, Bas $368.29 = $3,929.00 monthly, also family health insurance and dental is an entitlement for service member, spouse and children. (This is an example of how the pay looks for An E-4 with less than 2 years time in service , who is married and stationed in zip code 98433, bah Rate is determined by the duty station you get assigned to) .
