On Sunday October 6th, 2024 the Brownville Fire Department Auxiliary and Brownville Fire Rescue Department hosted an appreciation dinner for their members and their families to honor years of service to this community. Among those honored were three members who each have served more than 50 years with the Brownville Fire Department. Pictured left to right with their appreciation plaques are: Daniel Gerrish, Roger Graves, and Barrett Graves. Each of them has been a huge asset to this town and have spent years sharing their knowledge of the fire service. To Danny, Roger, Barrett, and all of the other first responders that serve our community, thank you for your continued dedication.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jessica Seavey

Our thoughts and prayers are with Milo Fire Department and the Brown family with the passing of Leon.

Leon was a legend for those that know the Piscataquis County fire service. Rest easy our friend, “1300” will never be the same.
